July 11, Prince Franklin, 20, was sentenced to a mandatory sentence of life in prison for the killing of Deena Wilty, 36, two months after Wilty and two other people robbed him at the Budget Motel in Marrero. Prosecutors Ken Bordelon and Chris Cox presented two witnesses of the shooting to the jurors, along with Franklin’s confession.
